I was born in 1962; you do the math. (See also: I'm too lazy to remember to update this thing regularly.) I bought my first house in the summer of 2009; I share it with four cats and with the memories of The Runt and Little Girl, who both passed away in 2011. Rocky, the cat for whom this blog was named, passed away in 2008; I miss them all. I wish I lived somewhere where the winters weren't eight months long; other than that, life is good.
So pretty! The only thing in my yard (mostly) is dirt. My flower beds look great but the big maple tree in back has made the actual yard nothing but roots and dirt.
Bridgett, the backyard at the old place was largely bare due to pine trees and a gigantor maple - it's nice to have some grass!
And ~~Silk, I think it's "Spring Cress", judging by my plant book, but I'm really bad at plant identification. It's growing in my neighbor's yard as well and also down by the creek, so I'm guessing it's something wild.
Oh, Fish, I live in fear of the day I'm mowing and accidentally run over a frog or a snake. *shudder* My only hope is that they'll be close enough to the ground so they don't get, well, chopped up or something.

Wow! Aren't they pretty. Any idea what they are? Wild or cultivated? Don't look like anything I see around here.

It's a gorgeous lawn!
We've got frogs in our grass, so we're holding off cutting it so we don't have blended frog (as we have in the past).
It's raining too.
And I'm lazy.
If only I had your flowers I wouldn't need all those other excuses!

I wish I could use that excuse.
I haven't mowed mine cause it's already hot and the Mosquito's are big enough to drain me of all my blood.
