Someone planted pine trees in rows here a long, long time ago:

Those fungus are really interesting!! Great shot.

(btw, do you know you have word verification on your comments?)

~*Connie*~, thanks for stopping by!

and yeah, I know that I have word verification. If I take it down, I get a ridiculous amount of spam. I know it's a pain in the butt, and I apologize for that.

Stop back any time!

Is this another trip to a state park...or somewhere you were able to walk to? Will the beavers be next in the pet door to gnaw on your furniture legs?

Yeah, the word verification thing is weird...but we're all learning lots of new words we never heard of before....like "gnpoNxit", etc., so it's increasing our vocabulary.............Ginny

Ginny, this is a county park about twenty miles away from my house, so no beavers in the pet door!

And I guess they ran out of weird fuzzy letters, because now they're throwing in the weird fuzzy numbers as well.

:) I know the feeling. So I took out Anonymous commenting. I hated to do that, but I know how hard a lot of people find the word verification and a lot won't even bother leaving comments if they see it.

~*Connie*~, yours is one of the few blogs I visit that doesn't have word verification. Keep on fighting the good fight!
