I was born in 1962; you do the math. (See also: I'm too lazy to remember to update this thing regularly.) I bought my first house in the summer of 2009; I share it with four cats and with the memories of The Runt and Little Girl, who both passed away in 2011. Rocky, the cat for whom this blog was named, passed away in 2008; I miss them all. I wish I lived somewhere where the winters weren't eight months long; other than that, life is good.
Ha, mostly for him, ~~Silk. Although trying to wrangle him into a carrier can be an adventure. At least he's civilly disobedient - just plants his feet against the frame and refuses to enter; never breaks out the teeth and claws. It's like a cat sit-in - or sit-OUT, as the case may be. He's a gentleman about his disapproval.
And Becs - I know you can appreciate this - the vet wants to try him on terramycin ointment. Cost at the vet's? $35.90. Cost on line? $12.99. It's price gouging, I tell ya. (and thanks for the kind words.) (and you're not alone in your appreciation of Ponyboy. The vet was practically making out with him last night, she is so enamored of him.)
Go for the drops if you can. I've always had better luck with drops. Also, for regular meds, I can't get a pill in most of my cats but I can sneak up on them and give them an injection before they've realized it.

Heh. For you or for him?
Pony, Pony. I don't even know you and I love you. I'm just so happy you ended up in such a good home.

That's just how it works for me.
I kind of like the idea of sneaking up on cats and giving them shots. "HA! Got ya!" And yeah, it probably would be less stressful than pilling them.
As long as you don't have to, like, hit a vein or anything. I woulda been a lousy junkie.
