This is one of two litters who came into the rescue group in the past week. The other litter has a mom; this one doesn't and is being bottle-fed (every two hours!) by the FC. There is good news: Another local rescue group has a lactating cat whose ten-week-old babies have been adopted; she may be brought in as a kind of wet nurse for these guys.
Kitten season has begun.

So, so cute. But damn, why don't people just get their cats fixed? These adorable babies lead to rooms of unloved fur baby adult cats all over the country.
I would take the one with the spot on his/her head. I would call him Bottletop.
Oh, the cute! It burns!
Birdie, Bottletop is an excellent name! I love that.
And there is a great need for more low-cost spay/neuter programs. The ones in our area are overwhelmed. Not that that's an excuse to not get your cat fixed, of course.
Becs, aren't they adorable? And the other litter is all grays/blacks. With stripes! Too cute. I got to hold a couple, and I was, like, *swoon*.
The name Bottletop is from a book by Fannie Flagg, the same woman that wrote Fried Green Tomatoes. Ever since I read the name I have wanted a cat to name Bottletop.
Oh, I love Fannie Flagg's books! I don't remember the name Bottletop, though.
Apropos of nothing, other than I thought of you while I was laughing about this...
