One more Butter update ...

... in honor of Easter and new beginnings and all.

Here is an email we got from Butter's new family:

"I've been meaning to e-mail you for a week now. Butter is doing well. It took him about a week before he would walk freely through the house. But he is much more comfortable now.

His personality is sooo great! We love having a cat that wants our attention, and he does! It doesn't matter if I'm feeding the baby, reading a book or sitting at my computer, if I'm down he is in my lap.

We do appreciate all you do and did for us (and Butter). He is great fit for our family."

Butter is risen.  Hallelujah!

Jackpot for Butter. Love to hear about success stories like this. Wonder if he will bring in semi-deceased creatures as gifts for the family from the acreage.....Ginny

When I read "five acres" I thought, oh no, these people aren't going to let him out, are they?

Ginny, hopefully he'll leave the stuff outside.

and Becs, they are going to let him decide on whether he wants to go out. Some former strays/ferals make fine indoor-only cats; some can't make the adjustment. It'll be up to Butter as to what he wants to do. Right now he only goes out when the family goes outside; as soon as they go back in the house, he's right back in with them. That's where the petting is!

Guess the indoors/outdoors thing is working now. I would hate to hear of a Baptist preacher who was reduced to profanity by one of those cats who stands in the door with ambivalence...."IN OR OUT!!! WHAT THE &#%@* DO YOU WANT TO DO????"

Ginny, a gentle foot to the butt works amazingly well in curing doorway ambivalence.

shhhhh ... don't tell anybody I said that.
