You know that spot in the driveway between your car and P's car? That spot that just looks wet?
It's not wet. It is, in fact, solid ice. And if you should try to walk there, you will slip and fall and land right on your tailbone and it will be extremely painful.
Just thought you might want to know.

The black ice has been terrible lately. There's a spot on our bridge that always looks innocently wet, but I've learned it's really very nast ice.
oh, yeah, make that *nasty* ice
I was dropping the kids off at school today and there was a car in front of me where the mom opened the door to let her daughter out. That poor kid barely had her two feet on the ground before they went out from under her and she landed flat on her back. I could feel her pain from my van. When she got up (with mom's help), there was a nice patch of ice right next to where her mom had parked. I'll bet she goes for the puddles, too. Anyway, thanks to the fact that chris had a broken leg, I got to move ahead and park in the handicapped spot right next to the entrance. Love that temp tag. Then again, if he hadn't broken his leg, they would have taken the bus as usual and I would have still been at home in my pajamas!
