That's Waaaaay out near where my sister lives.
Is that a fluke, or are there many houses out there going for that cheap? I've got to believe there's something seriously wrong with it.
If NY's taxes weren't so high, I might consider it.
You never said what part of town your job was. How would your commute be?
Yeah, I know, it's so cheap it's probably in the middle of the Broome County Landfill or something. Although there are several houses on the market here in the 30K range. I work in Binghamton, so the commute would be further than what I do now, but not unmanageable.
You will note that it says basement. It does not say floor. In my experience, the prices below 20k mean that they are selling it for the site mainly. The realtor might show you that house, but you'd wind up looking at stuff at 4X that price. (Bitter a little? Yeah, maybe.) It does look like it could be a pretty place to be, though. And it's a good dream anyhow, even if this one isn't right.
