I was born in 1962; you do the math. (See also: I'm too lazy to remember to update this thing regularly.) I bought my first house in the summer of 2009; I share it with four cats and with the memories of The Runt and Little Girl, who both passed away in 2011. Rocky, the cat for whom this blog was named, passed away in 2008; I miss them all. I wish I lived somewhere where the winters weren't eight months long; other than that, life is good.
Are you sure it is poison ivy? If it's only on one side, it could be shingles. My husband got it last year and was all "I don't need to go to the doctor, it's just a little rash" until it wasn't.
Bridgett, I thought maybe shingles too (and flesh-eating bacteria (but ... but ... they can't amputate my NECK!) and all kinds of other fun stuff), but I've never had chicken pox, so I'm pretty sure I'm safe from shingles. Whew. Sorry your husband had to go through that.
and Birdie, I have no idea. It's just me being me. I'm guessing that it was when I was weed-whacking the brush line last weekend - Either a chopped piece flew up and hit my neck (thwack!), or I bent over to whack a stubborn spot and it got me then. Or else the poison ivy ghost came to me in my sleep.

See? This is why I avoid Nature whenever possible.

Ak. How did you manage that?
Becs, that's beginning to sound like a good idea.
