...... would it just STOP RAINING already?! And warm up? It was thirty-four degrees on my back porch this morning. It SNOWED up at the airport yesterday. Folks, it's almost June.
Saturday morning was beautiful. In the sixties and sunny. So I made sure I got outside, because the weather was supposed to go downhill from there. And boy, did it. It started raining on Saturday afternoon, and it finally stopped ...... oh, wait. It hasn't stopped yet. And it's just that dribbly kind of rain that pisses out of the sky, on and off. And it's cold. Struggling to hit fifty. Waaahhh.....
In other news, Momma and Baby kitten go back to the shelter in two weeks. This is gonna be tough .....
But wait! Here's a picture to cheer me up! My new house:
Heh. That's the mansion adjacent to the local museum. Pretty, no?
I KNOW it's crooked. What can I say? Sorry.

Do they have to go back? Can't you adopt?
Yes, I could adopt them, but to be perfectly honest, I just don't know if I'm ready for that commitment yet. And I would like to be able to keep fostering, because there are a ton of cats out there who need a temporary place to stay.
On the bright side, they are both adorable, so that ups their chances of finding good homes.
oh, kitties.....
I love that mansion. Back in my theatre days, we used to hang out in the mansion kitchen (the dressing rooms were in the former maids' rooms).
Listie, tell us some stories about your theatre days! I'll bet you've got some good ones!
In college, I worked as the night time security guard at that Mansion/museum.
I love that staircase. There is also a little servants' hidden stairwell that goes from the kitchen to the upstairs hallway.
Cool!
Exador, it's been said that the mansion is haunted. Did you ever see anything spoooooky there?
You bet it's spooky, especially the basement and ballroom late at night. The upstairs ladies' room (Mrs. R's former private bath) is supposed to be haunted and people have said they've heard footsteps on the back stairs.
