I was born in 1962; you do the math. (See also: I'm too lazy to remember to update this thing regularly.) I bought my first house in the summer of 2009; I share it with four cats and with the memories of The Runt and Little Girl, who both passed away in 2011. Rocky, the cat for whom this blog was named, passed away in 2008; I miss them all. I wish I lived somewhere where the winters weren't eight months long; other than that, life is good.
we are SO very sorry.....these are the times you would like to find the person that SHOULD have cared about Alex and shake the crap out of them. we did have a momma cat a few years ago that lost all her kittens but one and we were lucky to have her when a group of orphans came in....while we never wish for that, maybe Alex can pay it forward
I'm not sure what is worse, losing them all or having one or two survive only to die a little later on. In reality, they are opposite sides of the same horrid coin.
I'm glad to hear she might have kittens to care for. Purrs that it goes well.
Tails, yeah, both situations are terrible, but I think it's a little easier when the entire litter is stillborn. It's just a little easier to move on. Having them for a few days and then losing them (this is the third time I've been through this) is heartbreaking.
It looks like Alex the Girl is going to be paired with some week-old orphans tonight. I've asked for this to take place in another foster home, as I just can't take anymore sadness right now if it doesn't work out.
