Well, I've been trying to get some good pictures of the kittens. Unfortunately, all of my shots seem to come out like this:
I actually kind of like these pictures; they look like something out of a scary movie. "Attack of the Mutant Kittens". "Litter of Doom".
So, yeah, I've been massively failing at Kitten Photography 101. So here's some random, semi-non-blurry shots.
Here's Puffy photobombing a couple of her kittens:
This cubby is a popular hangout:
Puff, with Beary's runt:
Yes, the room is a mess. Yes it is.

Happy Friday!

Too cute
Thanks, I needed to see that.
Becs, I am so sorry for your loss. I'm thinking of you and Brianna.
I am curious. With them all in one room, does anyone ever mix up who is supposed to be nursing who? Does either mother accept any kittens other than her own? Do any of the kittens try to nurse at the other mother?
~~Silk, at this point, with both litters mobile, the two mammas are nursing whoever is bellying up to the milk bar. The mammas seem to spell each other - trading off nursing duties. The kittens, both litters, nurse off of whoever is obliging at the time.
So, it's kind of a nursing free-for-all. At first it kind of freaked me out - "Hey, that's not your kitten!", but as long as they're cool with it, so am I.
Neat! Thank you.
Wow, fun to hear that all kittens are welcome to both moms.
Didn't want to criticize, but can't help noticing their bare environment.....You could probably make some cat toys yourself with bits of string and cardboard. (Ahem.)
P.S. When my daughter was visiting Paris a few years ago (I KNOW; don't start with me....it might interfere with my excitement over going to the Walmart), there was a guy near a bridge with a basket of kittens. When people came up to pet them, turned out to cost about $2 a throw......but he was actually making money. Sheesh.
Ginny, that makes me want to jet over to Paris, find that dude, and throw HIM off the bridge.
I could do a kickstarter to raise the plane fare ...
(Just making triple, fourple sure here....You didn't think I meant that the guy was having tourists chunk the kittens off the bridge....It was about $2 to PET THEM for a period of time known only to him. Thank you so much.)
Well, Ginny, you said "$2 a THROW" ...
I need to phrase things more carefully........
