Upon further examination, it has been determined that The Artist Formerly Known As Frida is actually ... a boy! Sorry, lil dude.
"JeeEEEeeez, laydee, what kind of rinky-dink outfit you RUNNIN' around here, anyway?! I iz not a stoopidhead GIRL, I iz an awesome BOYCAT! SHEESH!"
lol. we've all been there
ReplyDeleteHa, Tails, I usually just take the rescue's word for who is what, because I'm notoriously bad at telling gender when kittens are young. But last night, I was playing with the crew, and thought I noticed ... something ... and took a closer look ... then did a little compare and contrast with the other kittens ...and yep, it's a boy! Break out the blue cigars!
ReplyDeleteHopefully Gus isn't too p*ssed off about being called "Frida" for the past few days. :)
He is a pretty little cat
ReplyDeleteAnd Frida becomes Freddy?
ReplyDeletefmc, yep!
ReplyDeleteAnd Kate, I needed to stick with the "Artist" theme that the rescue had already chosen for this litter, so Frida became ... Auguste. Gus or Augie for short. :) But now I'm wondering it there's an artist named Freddy I could have used ...
Gus is a wonderful name for a cat. My beloved Gus (sometimes called DeGustibus, Gussy Guy, Gus-Gus, and Gustopher Bones) lived to be 18 and I miss him. He was a tabby, though, not like this handsome little fellow.
ReplyDeleteI agree - Gus *is* a fine name for a cat, Becs!
