If somebody was going to play me (ha), I guess it'd be whoever played Laura on General Hospital - people used to tell me I looked like her. If they made a movie about your life - who would you want to play you? I guess I'd pick Helen Hunt for me. :)Ness at Drovers Runhttp://www.droversrun.netnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33288643.post-60418563856162419772010-10-06T02:21:18.557-04:002010-10-06T02:21:18.557-04:00I am about ready to tear out the bathroom and repl...I am about ready to tear out the bathroom and replace it. The first step is prevention. Squeegie the shower when you're done and dry everything by wiping with a towel (that will also help prevent water spots. Not like I care about those, but I learned that at Merry Maids). You can try cleaning the shower more often (instead of once a week, maybe 2-3 times a week. I know! I know!) and using a daily shower spray available in the cleaning aisle in between cleanings. I use vinegar, but again, if I slack on the other steps, it's not long term. Keeping your bathroom from getting to humid may help too.

As for the outside mold on the siding (Silk), hmm, interesting! It sounds like the shady conditions are conducive to growing mold and maybe there's a little moisture staying put some where? I wonder if a professional would tell you to open those areas to the sun to dry it out? I would think the best place to start with this issue is to get to the source of the problem, as the mold seems like it may be a symptom of some thing else going on! Just a thought :o)Badass Nature Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13870194339485341686noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33288643.post-47642580476940577182010-10-05T10:24:16.638-04:002010-10-05T10:24:16.638-04:00No idea, but I'd be really pleased if anyone h...No idea, but I'd be really pleased if anyone had an answer!

I'm just about to take all the waterproof ing stuff off the shower and replace it, because the mildrew is sooo disgusting!

I've tried bleach, etc too. I know you have to absolutely kill it all, or it'll just grow back. So I've used bleach and a scrub brush --- and it keeps coming back. Not just in the shower - it's on the outside of the house, on the vinyl siding in the shady areas.

Death to all mildew!

(The stuff outside is so persistent, it's full of snail/slug tracks, supporting a population. I guess I should be grateful that there are no slugs in the shower.)~~Silkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11122262422346224632noreply@blogger.com
